Students
may also take prerequisite courses for other "allied health" professions such as : Dental Hygiene, Radiological Technology, and Nursing. Nursing career information can
be obtained from the UCO Department
of Nursing. The
Department also offers a MS
Degree in Biology. The program has two options, the thesis
or the non-thesis. The thesis option provides training through
original laboratory and/or field research. The non-thesis option
requires a literature research paper. In both options the Master's
students gain experience in the design and reporting of scientific
information. There
are sixteen Full-time faculty members as well as experienced adjuncts who
provide excellent instruction and promote student potential to the fullest. As
you view the Department of Biology Web pages, you will become more familiar
with the Department, it's faculty, programs, and student organizations,
the Biology
Club(Tri-Beta), and the Pre-med/Health
Professions Club. You may contact the Department at jhellack@uco.edu
if you wish additional information. |
